a couple weeks ago i had the amazing opportunity of attending jose villa’s workshop in mexico.  i cannot begin to explain how amazing it was.  it also was monumental for me because i shot almost 100% film all week.   when i received my images back from richards photo lab yesterday, i literally was jumping all over my house with excitement.   as my new website and blog launches next month, more talk on my film work will come out!  but for now here is a preview …

warning:  there are lots of snuggling and kissing pictures in this post.   the thing i loved most about dawn + brian was how they looked at eachother.  you could truly tell that they just love one another.   i would tell them “to just be” and they would just snuggle tight or give a quick kiss.  i would tell them to look at one another and it was the most loving looks i have ever seen.  i feel like this truly captures them!!  and i love that!   dawn + brian are getting married next spring here in san diego.  i am so excited for their wedding.  enjoy this fun post!

charlene and andrew first contaced me about their disneyland wedding back in the spring.   i was living in utah so we set up ichat to talk and get to know eachother a bit (you have to love this technology right?!)   but this last weekend was their engagement session and the first time we were able to meet face to face.  i just love engagements session.  one they are just so fun for me and two, it gives me such a good chance to get to know my clients before the wedding.  

charlene + andrew are incredibly musical.  they wanted to incorporate some of this into their session.  when i heard charlene sing and andrew play the piano- it was incredible!   i met them up in malibu at an incredible modern home.   this was such a fun session!   thank you charlene + andrew and enjoy!

after we had fun at the house, we went down to the beach for some amazing lighting at sundown!  charlene+andrew are getting married in disneyland in november.  i am so excited to shoot their wedding there and they are just so fun, i know it wil be a good time.  so charlene brought some mickey mouse lollipops as props.

so i have been in my new home for a month now!  crazy!  we love it here!  but i think i really fell in love with CA when i had my first real engagement session up in laguna beach.  the lighting was amazing, the scenery was beautiful, and i could of shot this gorgeous couple all day.  sarah + michael were so fun, so sweet.  i love engagement sessions because it gives me a chance to get to know the couple before their wedding day and after this e session i am so excited for their wedding in novemeber.  what i loved most about sarah + michael was how they interacted with eachother!  they needed little direction from me because they could just make eachother laugh and have fun with one another.  thank you sarah + michael for a good time and enjoy!

after a fun time at the book store we went out to heber, ut for a fun time out in a meadow!  shelby and ryan were so super fun!!  

shawn is a dear, dear friend of mine that i have known since he was little, little.  i was so excited to do his and chelsea’s engagment session.  he came up to heber, ut and we had amazing weather (given that it has rained her straight for a month!)  they were so fun and even let me practice my off camera lighting.

It has been 2 months that I have now been living in heber, utah (crazy!).   And I have found some really fun spots to do some photo sessions.  It is just convincing people that the small town of Heber offers so much!  Well, I was SO excited when I received an email from Rinda.   Rinda is a very good friend of our family and I was so honored that a girl so cute would choose me to photograph her engagement session and wedding.   Rinda is artistic and stylish!  She came dressed in vintage clothing from Coal Umbrella (located in Provo) and Savers!   and to top it off she brought such a fun prop!!  We had a blast!  Thanks Rinda for trusting me and SO look forward to your wedding next month!
